It is with deep gratitude and a profound sense of responsibility that I address you as the Vice-Chancellor of Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur Rewari. I am honoured to lead this institution, which stands as a symbol of aspiration, empowerment, and progress for both our region and the nation. Education has always been a cornerstone of national development—socially, economically, and politically. In this journey, universities play a pivotal role as centers of learning, innovation, and value creation. At IGU, we are deeply committed to fulfilling this responsibility by nurturing young minds who are equipped not only with knowledge and skills, but also with a deep sense of purpose and social responsibility. As we shape the university's future, I draw inspiration from the motto I shared upon assuming this role: "IGU first." This belief defines my approach—placing IGU at the heart of every decision, every initiative, and every vision. We shall move forward with a clear goal: to transform IGU into a Next-Gen University—a dynamic center of academic excellence, innovation, and nation-building. Guided by the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, our focus is on interdisciplinary education, industry-oriented curriculum, digital transformation, and socially impactful research. At IGU, we aim to develop not only competent professionals but also ethical, aware, and engaged citizens. Our academic programs are designed to prepare students for real-world challenges while remaining grounded in India’s cultural and moral values. As Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra reminds us: “When you are inspired by some great purpose… your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world.” With this spirit, I see my role not as a position, but as a mission to serve this university and guide it toward national and global relevance. We are committed to a paperless, digitally empowered campus, reflecting the vision of Digital India, and are fostering a vibrant culture of entrepreneurship and innovation. Through incubation centres, industry collaborations, and initiatives aligned with Make in India, Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan, and Start-up India, we aim to help students turn ideas into enterprises.
